Ages 9-13 (Must be age 9 by April 1, 2026)
No exceptions allowed for youngest players.
Oldest Player not yet 14 By April 1, 2026
Learn the fundamentals of the game of volleyball, while enjoying basic play experience. All practices in Poquoson.
Players who have or playing JV are not eligible to participate in recreation league.
Specific practice and game times will be announced based on gym availability.
Season runs from April 15- through June 1
Volunteer coaches needed. The league can only accept players if we have enough coaches to support the number of registrations.
Cost: $90. resident/$110.00. non-resident.
Registration Information: For Poquoson Residents: Registration is open now through March 20 and is available online or in person.
For Non-residents: Registration will begin IN PERSON ONLY on March 19 and 20. You must come to the Parks and Recreation Office and Make Registration. Space is limited for Non-Residents. No early registration will be taken for Non-residents.
Game will be held on Saturday Afternoons and some weeknights as referees are available. Usually each Saturday teams will play 2 games.
Practice nights will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays. Players/Parents will not be able to select specific practice night. Coaches will make the practice schedule.
Car Pools and Ride requests will not be accepted.
Volunteer Coaches are needed to support the league.
Age Divisions: Plans are for 1 age division 9-13. However if it is possible to create a minimum of 4 teams per division the division will be split 9-10 and 11-13. Parks and Recreation Reserves the right to make this decision based on registration numbers following the completion of registration.
If you have a player who is a beginner or new to the sport of Volleyball it is highly advised that you register your child for the upcoming Youth Volleyball Clinic held on the Saturdays in March. That program is now registering.
