Art By the Month For Kids Ages 7-12.
All classes meet at the Municipal building on Wednesdays 4:30pm to 6:00pm
Instructor: Holly Horton register 8 days in advance of start of the Month.
APRIL Dates: 12, 19, 26 4:30-6pm Portraits, People and Cartoons
From cartoons and caricature to realistic portraits, we will study the human form and learn to draw it. Eyes, ears, noses, fingers and toes, legs and arms and hair, to draw realistically or stretch and exaggerate it to make it funny. Sketching and drawing to capture likeness, each week we will develop our initial ideas into finished pieces of art created from different supplies and materials. All materials included: Cost: $60.00 residents. (Non-residents additional $10.00)
MAY Dates: May 10, 17, 21, 31 4:30-6pm Let the Dogs Out: Barking Canines
Using Canines as our focus our art creations will work with dogs, wolves, coyotes, jackals and foxes. Explore their adaptations and what makes them so special in the animal world. Compare size, their intense gaze and their thick, beautiful fur. Class includes sketching and drawing to capture likeness, in each class we will develop ideas into finished pieces of art created using a variety of supplies and materials provided. Work with clay, fabric, pastels and more. Cost $70.00, extra $10.00 non-residents.
