The City of Poquoson Office of Community
Recreation is challenging residents to show off their
holiday spirit for all to see and enjoy this season.
Plan now to put out your holiday decorations at your
house and enter the:
“Best Decorated House in the City” contest.
Starting Tuesday, December 6 judges will be driving
throughout the City limits to review the entries.
If you want to participate, you will need to submit
your house address for consideration by Monday,
December 6 by notifying Community Recreation.
Register your house online at our registration page.
Prizes will be awarded for most creative display, Best in Show and more.
Contest guidelines require that all decorations be displayed in the front yard and on houses within the City limits. Following submissions our Community Recreation will create a map to highlight all of the entries. All entries will be included in the City’s holiday map published on the City of Poquoson website listing where to view decorated homes for all to enjoy. Let’s all spread cheer in Poquoson and make our City the most
festive in all of Hampton Roads.
Contest winners will receive a colorful lawn sign announcing their achievement; and other unique gifts as well as official award announcement.
